The Role

As a Beauty Product Developer at Djerf Avenue, your primary responsibility is to develop and refine our beauty product portfolio, ensuring every product meets and upholds our high standards. Your responsibilities cover the full lifecycle of each product, from the initial concept to the finished product. With a strong passion for beauty, you are committed to creating high-quality products that resonate with our community and align with our values. With an extensive knowledge of the beauty industry and experience in developing a wide range of beauty products, you contribute with valuable insights and creative ideas that will take Djerf Avenue Beauty to the next level.

Examples of tasks

Product Development

• Engage in the product development process from concept to finished product.

• Planning of future product launches.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and industry partners.

• Work with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and materials.

• Oversee product testing and validation for quality assurance.

• Create and communicate product specification sheets and other educational materials internally and externally.

• Always strive for the highest quality and innovation in the development of new products and product lines.

• Analyze and identify new product opportunities and innovations.

• Monitor data and customer feedback closely to continually optimize our products.

Regulatory

• Ensure all existing and new products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

• Monitor regulatory updates and industry best practices for compliance purposes.

• Adjust products accordingly to meet various regulatory changes in the market.

• Revise products as needed to align with changes in laws and regulations.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate who has a deep understanding of the beauty industry and a proven track record of success in product development within this area. Essential to this role is a strong passion for beauty and a commitment to creating innovative beauty products sustainably. You should have experience in formulating a wide array of beauty products, knowledge of ingredients and their benefits. An awareness of global industry regulations is a plus. You are a team player who shows genuine enthusiasm for the work, and constantly strives to develop and improve. You work independently, are well-organized, have a strong commercial awareness, and are focused on achieving results. You will play a crucial role in elevating Djerf Avenue Beauty, highlighting the importance of your willingness to go the extra mile with us.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Experience as a Product Developer within the hair segment.

• Academic degree in product development, project management, purchasing, marketing, or business administration.

• Academic degree in chemistry is not required but is meritorious.

• Excellent English in speech and writing.

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and collaborate effectively across functions.

• Knowledge of the beauty industry as a professional and a consumer is a must.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for beauty products globally (EU and US is required).

• Previous experience from a global company is meritorious.

Location

The location of this role is in Stockholm, Sweden. You will be expected to work from our office in central Stockholm. Please make sure you have legal right or permission to work in Sweden, before applying for this role.
